Trip to Wonderla

1st June 2009, a memorable week start off toWonderla, the amusement park. It is 30 km from Bangalore on the Bangalore-Mysore Highway. It was a sudden plan, myself, my sister Jasmine, Paromita & Jim started our adventure at 9 am from Koramangala, we could barely wait to reach our destination. By 10.45 am we step out of our car, had a light refreshment & headed to the ticket counter. On weekdays the entry fees is Rs 470 for adults & on Saturday & Sunday its Rs 595.

The gate was let open at 11 am, as the water rides start at 12 noon we jumped into the first breathe taking ride i.e., the techno jump followed by the drop zone & wonder splash. All of us could hardly resist the Play pool & other water rides.

At 1.10 pm our feet were grooving at the Rain disco & than at 1.40 pm we dived in the wave pool. Its was definitely an overwhelming experience. Jim & Paromita moved to the lazy river while Jasmine & I thrilled ourselves on the rest of the rides. By 4 pm we gave up to our hunger & had a heart full lunch at Wave Restaurant.

To our surprise it started raining & all our excitement were washed off as the dry rides were still pending. By 6 pm we packed ourselves, dead tired inside the car some were dangling with sleep & this is how our we ended our exciting trip to Wonderla.

Cake House on the Cloud...

Wish I would live in a cake house,

sneak a look from the sky like a mouse.

Sweet rainbow to drink,

no cloulds to sink.

Nobody to pesture,

people with happy gesture.

Wish I would live in a cake house,

where love & peace are arouse.

Wish I would view earth’s panorama,

human with materialistic drama.

There’s my home on the cloud,

I am happy, I can shout it loud

Yes, this is just a thought,

my lonesome mind has caught .

Superb expression

My friend, Nasim with an alligator on his head. I cant stop laughing looking @ his expression. At this tense hour of recession & industry turmoil we definitely need friends who will make us laugh & forget our worries. A nice poem extracted from Google.
You're...
My Friend,
my companion,
through good times and bad
my friend, my buddy,
through happy and sad,
beside me you stand,
beside me you walk,
you're there to listen,
you're there to talk,
with happiness, with smiles,
with pain and tears,
I know you'll be there,
throughout the years!

Thank God that he has given us friends

The play of colours

What happens when colours dance on the paper without binding themselves inside the boundaries? This particular painting is a mess made by colour or there is a hidden meaning at the core? It’s all about individual perception. When I surrendered myself to the paint & the brush in my hand, there sprang on the naïve sheet a volcanic eruption of various colours; blue, green, orange, pink, yellow…

This piece shows the outburst of inner emotions which were suppressed for a long time. I can feel the happiness of the brush romancing on the paper with its beloved colours.

It says: “let me go, set me free;

Hold me not in thy frame,

Just let me play the game,

Let me fill this bare sheet with life

As this is my home & the colour is my wife.

My Mother- My World

It’s not just a normal painting of a lady & a child. This painting depicts the relationship of mother & her daughter, whom she nurtures all the way through the right alleyway till she arrives at her destined home. Life is full of ups & downs but mother guides her child through the green valley to lead a perfect & peaceful life.
Mother is the one who loves unconditionally, feels every breathe of us, understands us more than anybody on earth, she is the one whose happiness is in our smile & sadness is linked to our pain, her only desire is that we live the best life.
Mother is the living example of love, care, benevolence, patience & forgiveness.
Our heaven lies under her feet; her lap is the best bed,
Her touch is the best medicine,
Her hug is the best comfort,
Her shadow is the best shade,
Her lullaby is the best song.
She is the best mentor.

I Love You Mom!

Young Genaration

An enthusiastic child of 3 yrs trying hard to ride the scooter in the lanes of Ulsoor, Bangalore.
Today's kids are far mature than their age. where is the innocence lost? I guess its modern age where everything is fast forward & the effect is obvious. We can imagine what will happen few years down the line if the IQ level of children are growing at this pace. Who knows one may find babies flying plane, a 10 year old boy having mustache, etc by end of this century or may be earlier.

Should animals be kept in captivity?

Heard lot about HUMAN RIGHTS but what about ANIMAL RIGHTS? Do they have the freedom to breathe in open air & live in their natural habitat? How would we feel if we are caged & become a piece of amusement for animals? As man is intervening & destroying the homes of several species of birds & animals, in the name of development & technology, their no’s are sinking day by day. No zoo can replace the natural environment. If we see from the other side of the coin, one can say that flora & fauna are preserved in captivity & the extinct species are nurtured to breed & grow. Children can educate themselves on live wildlife & it’s also a source of recreation.

All these for mankind, at the cost of the freedom of innocent creatures, who cannot fight for their rights.
